About Me

I have had body and self esteem issues my entire life. For a woman, I know I am not alone and I am pretty sure some of these issues will never go away. However, I can tell you over the last year I have made huge progress towards being happier with me. Some of this comes with age...most of this comes with trial and error.

After years of abuse (diet pills, not eating, hours of endless exercise) I had finally gotten to a place that was balanced and healthy. I work out each day at 5am and that doesn't interfere with time with my kids, my husband, or my full time job.

I go to the gym, I did p90x dvds, I did all the Jillian Michaels DVDs, I made it through the insanity workouts...I had the perfect mix of variety so I never got bored. My diet, although mostly healthy still wasn't great, but I hate to cook so I never put much focus there.

Then, at the gym, I started working out with a friend that needed some new routines and motivation. After all the cross training I did I was able to create some great workouts as well as combine them with programs I got off Pinterest. It was great having a partner. Until....she switched gyms.

I was alone again.

So I started up doing my own cross training again. Then I got a bit bored. So I started the T25 program. This program changed everything for me. I was getting great workouts in just 25 minutes. I couldn't believe how great they were and couldn't believe my body actually started really responding to these shorter workouts better than anything else I had ever done!

I realized then that if my diet was better, I would feel even better. So then I started drinking the shakeology shakes. These were perfect for me because I am not a breakfast eater and these fit in great. They taste like milkshakes and had so much nutrition.... After a few weeks of drinking those my hair and skin improved and I started feeling better. This is when I realized I wanted to become part of the beachbody family. I love their products. From the dvds to the shakes to the online support.

My main focus is to get better with my diet. Start eating cleaner and not having that "one more" all the time. I need to be more accountable for my diet. I feel like I can be a great exercise advocate and motivator. From the beginner to the advanced.  I need an eating and diet motivator. The beachhbody family and blogs and posts have kept me more on track in the last week or so  than I have been able to do myself ever.

So on this blog, I will post my good days and bad, recipes I love (and hate).
