Resolutions. We all have them. The standard ones are always:
Lose weight and get healthy.
Why do we have to wait till a new year to get better with these things?
November and December are the slowest times of year for diet programs, gyms and any kind of workouts. People have resigned themselves to gaining weight and somewhat going to hell the last month or so. I don't get this. The holidays are the most stressful time of year. Exercise is a huge stress reliever. The holidays are often times we see friends and family we haven't seen in months or years, yet we are often our heaviest at that time. By simply just using portion control skills you don't have to gain a pound during these last few months of the year.
To be brutally honest. Using new years resolutions to "start" anything is simply just an excuse to put it off.
I am just as guilty as all of you for using this excuse. No, not in the health and fitness area. In fact I focus on eating better and working out harder this time of year. But, I have some big plans on my plate for 2015. I don't just have resolutions, I have goals. I have both these things written down. When you write them down they become more real. TRY IT.
So whats on my list?
Shut down more often. I am often connected to work and email way beyond work hours. I need to focus more time with my family.
Help another 100 people reach their health and fitness goals
Continue to improve my relationship with food by eating cleaner and not stress eating.
Get more organized
Let go of things I cannot control (this is a big one for me because it often consumes me)
Get into a smaller size pair of jeans
Now that I have them written down i will focus on steps to achieve these goals individually by creating smaller deadlines within the goals during the year. This way, the goal are more attainable as smaller steps.
Don't bite off more than you can chew...
This is a tip for fitness and weight loss too. Be sure to find a fitness program thats not only right for your fitness level but something that you enjoy. If you like high intensity exercises, don't sign up for yoga and vice versa...
And follow a program. Ever walk into a gym the first week in January? Its SWAMPED. people will go hard core for hours at a time. Most of them will quit within a few weeks. Don't do this. Find a program. follow it. Don't go to extremes or you will burn out.
When it comes to diet. DONT DIET. Eat responsibly. Portion control and moderation. ITS key. repeating my line from above....Don't go to extremes or you will burn out.
I am can help you find a program thats right for you. I can help you find a meal plan thats right for you. I can provide you with support thats better than you could ever imagine.
And guess what? You don't have to wait for Jan first to start on your goals :)
December 2nd is the official launch date for Max30!!!! I'm so excited for this and want to give the lowdown!
Shaun T is the creator of Hip Hop Abs, Rockin Body, Insanity, Insanity the Asylum, T25 and now Insanity Max30. He has been creating amazing fitness programs that truly work and get you the results you are looking for! I started with Insanity 3 1/2 years ago and I have been a Shaun T fan every since. I have done Insanity, t25, the Asylum and even some hip hop abs. I even went to do a live workout with Shaun t because I love him that much!
Insanity Max 30 is full of 150 new moves to help you dig a little deeper and get your body in the very best shape of your life. This workout combines cardio and strength moves without using any equipment at all. Your body is your equipment for this workout!
The program is 60 days long and is broken down into month 1 and month 2. The workouts are all 30 minutes each with a 10 minute ab workout. The idea of this program is not to make it through the entire 30 minutes, but to "MAX OUT" and go as hard as you can until you have to take a break! You want to max out, it's not a bad thing. You actually track your daily progress by your Max Out times and aim to increase that time with each workout.
Who is Insanity Max30 for? It is for anyone that is a fitness beginner who wants to jump start their journey with an insane workout (it does have a modifier) a T25 graduate ready for a harder challenge, or an Insanity grad looking to take it to the next level!
It's not about your physical fitness. It's about your mental game! Anyone can do insanity max 30, you just have to want to to do it! You have to have that internal motivation and drive to every single day show up no matter how pretty it is.
So you can the person wanting to lose 5lbs, 10lbs, 50 or 100 lbs. This workout is for you if you are mentally strong and ready to rock it.
What are the workouts like:
The workouts in month 1 are a combination of cardio and tabata style strength workouts! You no longer have a fit test like Insanity but every single workout is your fit test because your goal is to beat your time from the day before!
What is a tabata workout?
It is 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off with the workout structure.
Month 2 is all about taking it to the max and challenging yourself to the max! The intervals are longer and the rest time stays the same so it's challenging your endurance and strength.
For month 2 the intervals are 45 seconds on and 15 seconds off.
What about reaching a plateau?
If you reach a plateau it's not a bad thing. It's actually something to celebrate because it means that you worked hard to get to that plateau and now its time to work harder, go further, use my core, eat better so that I can break the plateau and get to the next one! Insanity Max30 is going to be your plateau breaker!!!! TOTALLY!
Whats different about this program?
You might feel like you are maxing out in one move but then you switch and it gives you a little break so you can max out in another way! The intervals are also a little different, 3 moves, 30 seconds each 3 rounds. you do a little more a little longer and a little harder.
The focus is really on that recovery time. Your recovery time is to enhance other parts of the workout. Your focus is to really be self motivated beyond this 60 days! I really feel like this workout is really a mindset. It's truly about being able to mentally tell yourself that you can do that. You can push your body way further if your mind is in the game!
Is there a modifier?
Yes- there is a modifier track option so that you can see the modifier all the time during the workout which makes it easier to follow.
What is Maxing out? To Max Out means to stop or fail for the first time in the workout. It's really truly not about getting through all 30 minutes. It's about going as hard as you can for as long as you can, until you MAX OUT. Write down the time take a break, and then you want to jump back into the workout. If you stay committed and push to your max you will add more time each week with the workouts!
MAXING OUT IS A GOOD THING!!!
Month 1:
Cardio Challenge: 1st workout and you use it as your guide and your first fit test per se. It's all cardio, its 4 1/2 minute interval 30 second rest.
Sweat Intervals: Cardio type intervals that you ridiculously sweat with the same interval training.
Tabata Power: Plyometrics, and comes down to where you are not jumping and is meant to generate power in your core. Great ab block in there!
Friday Fight: Killer!
5 day a week program!
There is a Pulse workout for Saturday and it's optional. It's more of a pulse, balance, modifier type workout. Focus on core, balance and form.
Month 2:
All the workouts are still 30 minutes. Now you have Max out cardio & Max out Sweat with power moves to 5 1/2 minutes and then the break.
Tabata Workout- Max out Strength and Max Out Power
45 seconds on 15 second rest and 6 rounds and at the end an extra something!
Friday Fight Round 2: It's just killer round 2.
12 Workouts on 10 DVDS, MAX out Nutrition Guide, Restaurant Guide, Wall Calendar.
60 day program, 30 days of workouts in each block.
Coach Exclusive: SWEAT FEST is the coach exclusive that you only get when you buy from a coach. Old Insanity cast members and coaches! It's just a little impromptu workout that is a rockin good time!
Why Should you track your progress: Because psychologically you want to see your progress! You want to see each week how far you went and if you went 1 minute longer. You can always have a challenge for yourself.
Meal Plan: Flexible eating and portion control.
Portion control is amazing. It's the most important thing you can do to get even better results. If you manage your portions you can eat again sooner!
The Meal plan is crucial to your progress! It's a great meal plan that is super easy to follow and effective and efficient!
The Deluxe Kit comes with 3 extra workouts and the portion controlled containers.
Do you want to hear all the details right from Shaun T's mouth? Listen to this hour long webinar explaining all the ins and outs and even demonstrating a new move!!!!!
So how can you get it?
Well you can only get it through a Team Beachbody coach starting on the 2nd of December! So if you do not have a coach make sure to make me yours!
Theres a challenge group starting Dec 8 and I will personally be running a test group starting Jan 5th
What is the Insanity Max30 Test Group?
I am going to be running a very private and exclusive Max30 test group.
Each participant is required to purchase the Insanity Max30 program from me as their coach. Each participant is required to replace 1 meal a day with Shakeology for the duration of the program. The best option is to get the challenge pack because it has free shipping, discounted price, and includes everything you need to get started right!
Why Shakeology? Because honestly you need the best brain and muscle fuel you can get during this workout. You want to have this nutrient dense meal replacement every single day so that your muscles are getting vitamins and nutrients to recover from the intense workouts, you are getting portion control that is fueling you for your next workout and is keeping you healthy. You are not adding this to your weekly grocery list, it is replacing something you previously ate! For most people it replaces that drive thru, that daily stop out for lunch or the excessive snacks they used to eat because they didn't have time to make a proper meal.
Trust me your body will thank you by giving you killer results when you incorporate shakeology!
What will you get from me? You will get access to a closed online facebook group. No one but the members of the group can see what is being posted. I will help you prepare ahead of time for your start of the workout. We will talk measurements, before photos, meal plan, nutrition guide, recipes and motivation! We will even walk through when your workout time will be, how will you make time and any obstacles you forsee in the next 60 days. It's all about having balance, it's not about being perfect but empowering yourself to be the best that you can be! Trust me, the conditions will never be perfect, but there is no better time than now to rock out a killer after photo to ring in the New Year!!!
Seriously, between work, kids, sports, homework, husband, laundry, dishes, my Beachbody business and just trying to stay healthy is just tough. Most of us compromise ourselves in this situation. Whether its skipping workouts, not meal prepping for ourselves or just not getting enough sleep......
DONT DO THIS!!!!!
If you take care of yourself you will be a better
juggler of all things!!!!!
Heres a few tips for managing your time:
Take time each morning to plan your day.
Make lists in order of priority.
Put time limited on things. For example: I spend 10 minutes each morning before my workout to answer questions, post comments or respond to emails in my Beachbody Business. Just 10 minutes because after that is MY TIME to get in my workout for me! Put time limits of everything so that you stay focused on that task only during that time.
Learn to say no: Dont take on more than you can handle. THIS IS TOUGH!!!
So now you may be saying I do all this. Still cant fit it all in and am stressed out. You are not alone. But remember this. You can only do the best you can do. Delegate where you can. Take a breath. And most of all realize you aren't alone.
I have learned so much over the last 9 months of coaching. I use to feel like I had to be super woman, Be sure I was everything to everyone. Of course this never worked and I always felt guilty for this. Now, I realize I don't HAVE to be super woman and no one expects that of me. I have a group of supporters that I can share my struggles with. I am open about my good days and bad and am learning to except myself, flaws and all. I do my best everyday. Work on making better decisions everyday. Working on my time management has been key as well. Once you prioritize and put things in their right perspective this gets easier to do.
I am only one person. I do the best I can and so can you.

I will not promote or sell things I don't believe in. I am a beachbody coach because I 100% believe in the company, in the products and the people.
As I have always been into fitness I have done or at least tried 90% of the Beachbody programs. Not only do I do this because I love fitness. I also do it to be educated. And, one of my favorite things about coaching is finding the right program for you.
It can be intimidating to try and pick one. There's always questions...
How long are the videos?
Will I be able to do it?
What equipment will I need?
Will I like the instructor?
So today's blog will be my quick summaries about some of these programs. These are MY OPINIONS ONLY. Hope this helps.
I have also now included my opinion on the 3 day refresh. Many of the challenge packs we offer include whats called the "kick start" this means it comes with the 3 day refresh. This is not a fitness program. Its 3 day cleanse and many people love to do this before they start a new fitness program.
The 3 day refresh: This is NOT a workout program but can offer and amazing kickstart before you start one OR can be a great cleanse after some bad eating days. I often do this right after the holidays. This includes 3 shakes a day. A shakeology shake, a vanilla fresh shake and a fiber shake. You then eat veggies and fruits and a small amount of healthy fats. Whats nice is this program really cleanses you of toxins and rests your body without starving you to death! I have sone this 3 times and have lost between 4-6 each time. I have had customers who have lost 8-10 pounds too!!! NEW!!!!!!!!! Core De Force: LAUNCHES 10/31/16. INSTRUCTED BY JOEL AND JERICHO AND THEY ARE GREAT! Ea ch workout is broken into 3-minute “rounds” — just like a real boxing match. In those 3 minutes you’ll alternate between addictive Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai-inspired combinations, bodyweight training, and cardio spikes that kick your fat burn into overdrive. But all that punching and kicking doesn’t just burn calories. Each move, whether it’s a jab or a knee, is rotational, giving you a 360-degree core workout that will tighten up your entire midsection. All you have to do is hit it hard 3 minutes at a time and before you know it — you’re done! I cannot wait to start this program! Country Heat! talk about FUN. This line dancing program is a blast and has GREAT music. Autumn Calabrese is your trainer and you may be surprised what kind of sweat you can get from line dancing! 30 min a day. This is a great program for beginners, people that are starting off slow after injury or just want to dance. What i love most is that she only does 2 moves then moves on so you dont need to memorize any crazy moves! Beachbody on Demand: This is freaking awesome. Not know what workout to try. You can live stream over 400 workouts. t25, Fix extreme, Hammer and Chisel, P90, P90x, P90x3, Insanity, Turbofire, Chalene Extreme., so many more..and new ones launching all the time. Also, theres recipes, tips and ideas and so much more. You can get 3 months of on demand with shakeology and this way you can try them all.
22 min Hard Corps: WOWZA! Who would have thought you could have a great workout in 22 minutes?! I will admit that although I loved p90x and p90x3 I wanst sure how Tony would handle a military style workout. I mean his cheesy jokes just don't align with this style. But I'll say...HE ROCKS THIS! I love this program. I like that one day is cardio and the next is resistance. I like that the moves are not overly complicated and they repeat so you can focus on form. Its a tough 22 minutes but totally doable and PERFECT for those in a time crunch!
HAMMER AND CHISEL!!!: Holy cow people! I cant even tell you how much I love this program!!! I didnt think I would either. This program is unique as it combines 2 trainers. Sagi from body beast and Autumn from 21 day fix. This is a 60 day program and uses weights almost daily. This is NOT a beginner program. Workouts range from 25-45 minutes a day and rotate between the trainers. Its the best combo of cardio and lifting EVER and is sure to help lean you out. Whay I also love is that it doesnt repeat workouts as much as some other programs. You do need equipment for this though. Weights, a ball and band for sure and ideally you'll want a bench and pull up bar. But use what you have. LOVE THIS ONE!!
P90: This program is fairly NEW, and a prequel to the P90X
programs by Tony Horton. This is a super place to start for ANYONE. There are 3
month’s worth of workouts (Levels A, B, and C: Sculpt, Cardio, and Ab Ripper
for each level, plus Saturday Special that is the same for every level), each
advancing in difficulty as you get in the groove of working out.You do need at least 1 resistance band that
comes with the program. It’s better to have two resistance bands or the one
band and some hand weights because otherwise you’ll have to keep detaching the
one band from the door. This program
works your entire body, but none of the moves are super quick or super tough on
your joints. There is a modifier in each workout, and the Sculpt workouts even
give you diagrams so you know you’re doing it right!
21 day fix: This program is 21 days long. Workouts are 30 minutes each. One day upper body, one day lower body, another cardio etc etc. This program is great for beginners but some workouts are tough. They have a modifier in all the videos so anyone can do this. You need weights or bands. The best part of this program is the meal plan and the portion control containers that come with this. Follow this plan and you cannot fail! The trainer is Amber Calbrese. Like her alot. Soft spoken but pushes you.
21 day fix extreme: LOVE LOVE LOVE and didn't think i would!!! So this program is perfect for after youve done 21 day fix. But honestly, even if you havent its AWESOME. its tough and i do sugest you do it after you have been doing some other fitness program. Similar to the 21 day fix but more intense. EAch day is something different. It goes quick and you will be sore but its only 21 day!!!
Slim in six: This program is one I suggest for those over 50. Its a bit slower. Its not high impact and the times range but still all under an hour. I have not personally done this program. I have seen it and have several people on the team that do it and love it! Hand weights or bands are required.
T25:LOVE LOVE LOVE. Not only do I love Shaun T the trainer but I love that these workouts are only 25 minutes. They are amazing. They are high impact but they do all have modified moves for beginners. Its intense though. You do need hand weights or bands in month 2.
INSANITY: Shaun T is awesome as always. This is similar to t25 but more intense, more impact and longer than t25. No equipment needed. this program is hard and can hurt your knees. I love it though but best for people that really love high intensity.
INSANITY MAX 30: LOVE!!!!Shaun T is INSANE. THIS PROGRAM IS TOUGH BUT AMAZING! Its tougher than t25. It will challeneg your mind as much as your body but YOU WILL get stronger. @ days a week is tabata. tahts 30-45 seconds on and then a 10-20 second break. the other days are cardio but you are also doing resistance training by using your body weight. Whats awesome is that this is only 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Yup- 2 full rest days! If you dont ahve time for the long insanity workouts this is perfect.
INSANITY ASYLUM: Shaun T is nuts in this!!! Program comes with a jump rope, bands and agility ladder. High impact. This is PERFECT for people that play sports. In fact my son does many of these exercises in Football. The strength workout may be one of my favorites. Workouts range from 30-60 minutes. I have only suggested this program to 2 people as I think this one is super tough.
P90x1:Tony Horton the instructor is Awesome. This program has a great variety but workouts are LONG. All are an hour except yoga...that's an hour and a half!!! My favorite workout day on this program was PLYO and sometimes still mix it in with other workouts.
P90x2: Tony Horton is still awesome but I just didn't like this program. Workouts were just as long but moves were complex. You need more equipment. I found myself frustrated with this program .
P90x3:LOVE LOVE LOVE. Tony Horton got it down!!!! these workouts are amazing and only 30 minutes. Great variety, each day is different! Need weights some days. You do not need p90x1 and 2 before this but this is not a beginner program. I often suggest this for after t25.
Les Mills Combat: This is a great program that's all mixed martial arts. Super fun. Great cardio. Instructors are great, music is great. Really works your whole body.
Brazilian Butt Lift: This program focuses on the booty but works the rest of the body some days too. I didn't love this program as Leondro the trainer wasn't a favorite of mine. This would be great to do mixed in with other programs though.
Turbo Fire: Chalean Johnson is awesome. This program is kickboxing and some dance like moves that works your whole body. I enjoyed it but sometimes got frustrated with keeping up with the moves. they are fast. But, after doing it a few times I really enjoyed it.
PIYO: Another great Chalean program. This is a blend of pilates and yoga but no holding poses! Its fast. What I loved the most was that it gave my joints a break. N
on impact. And, it leaned me out. Really elongated my muscles after all the pounding I was doing with the high impact program. No weights needed. I will say, you do alot of planks in this program so f you have wrist issues it may not be best for you.
Chalean Extreme: HOLY COW, I love this!!! This program I am dabbling in now. This program is proof that muscle burns fat! you do need weights and bands. the workouts vary in length and your whole body gets worked!
10 Minute Trainer: Don’t let the name fool you….YES…the
workouts are 10 minutes each, however, it’s recommended you do at least 2 of
them 6 days a week. They consist of Cardio, Core Cardio, Core, Total Body,
Lower Body, and Yoga. These workouts are completely do-able for beginners. There is nothing super fast or tough on your
joints. You do need at least a resistance band (that comes with the program),
although you might want to purchase one with a little less resistance to start.
CIZE!!!:This program is DANCE. Its shaun T who I love and he really breaks down all the moves so you can follow it. Its super fun. This program is ideal for those that do not like to workout but love to dance! I enjoyed this program but from a hard core tough exercise perspective I didnt love it and cannot see myself doing it as a fitness program since I prefer more intense workouts. This doesnt mean its not right for you. You can lose weight and inches from this fun program. But if you love an intense workout program that makes you build and lean out muscle you may want to try something else.
Body Beast: If you are looking to build lean muscle this program is for you! Yes ladies, it will work for you to but you must realize before you lean out you will build a bit and thats a GOOD THING. Muscle burns fat. I find the trainer Sagi a bit hard to understand but the program is great!
I can absolutely help you find a program that's right for you.
best part!....all challenge packs come with 30 days of shakeology (best shakes ever!!!) and theres no worries...
I will not promote or sell things I don't believe in. I am a beachbody coach because I 100% believe in the company, in the products and the people.
